Werkstatt: Education is offering a unique 8-month masterclass with Adam Broomberg focused on the making of a photography book. Drawing on his 25 year experience publishing over fifteen photobooks—including Holy Bible (MACK, 2013), winner of the ICP Infinity Award, and War Primer 2 (MACK, 2018), winner of the Prix du Livre at Les Rencontres d'Arles—the program is designed for artists with the beginnings of an idea or an existing project who want to develop it into a fully realised publication. Through sustained critique, participants will refine their conceptual framework, editing, and sequencing, identifying the strongest elements of their work. The aim is to develop a coherent, precise, and uncompromising photobook that fully realises the potential of the project.
The masterclass includes 3 physical workshops in Berlin and 2 individuated online sessions between the workshops.
